ABOUT LIA

Army veteran. Entrepreneur. Wife. Mom of four. And a choreographer who has been shaping movement for over 7 years.

Lia Curfman is more than a dancer, she’s a visionary artist and the powerhouse behind The Girlas Movement (formerly Contempo Dance Club). Her work has built more than choreography — it has built a culture.

Her style is fierce and unforgettable, blending Afro-inspired grooves, Puerto Rican roots, sharp hits, and a sensual pop attitude. With training under industry leaders such as Royal Family Dance Crew, Cisco, Dexter Carr, Samantha Caudle, Marissa Hart, Brinn Nicole, Faceoff, and Offset Crew, Lia has developed a signature voice in dance that is both technically precise and explosively free.

But Lia’s mission goes beyond performance. Through her platform, she has helped countless women break through mental barriers, shatter stigmas, and reclaim their power through movement. She has competed in and judged business pitch competitions across Florida, proving herself not only as an artist but also as a bold entrepreneur and leader.

For Lia, dance isn’t just choreography... it’s transformation. Every class, every stage, every collaboration is designed to unlock freedom, confidence, and identity.

Dance with Lia Curfman, and you don’t just learn steps

you experience a revolution.
